Job description
Forget web endpoints and virtual cloud environments; we deal with gravity, momentum, and cold hard metal. Boston Dynamics is looking for a hardcore Embedded Hardware Engineer to write the bare-metal C++ firmware that keeps our bipedal humanoid robots from falling over.
In this highly specialized role, you won't be building generic REST APIs. You will be squeezing microsecond-level performance out of edge processors, translating complex neural network outputs into instantaneous motor torque commands. You will work directly with PCB designers to debug custom sensor arrays, write low-level drivers for high-bandwidth IMUs, and implement hard-real-time failsafe state machines that trigger the exact millisecond a 150-pound robot loses its balance.
